Partaking in extracurricular activities at the faculty and Student Union Government levels was a significant part of my college experience. Holding various political positions and running for my faculty’s presidency allowed me to develop my leadership skills. While these activities were beneficial for personal growth, they required a significant time commitment. However, I managed to strike a balance amidst these demands.

Did you approach your studies differently compared to your peers?

Each student is unique in their approach to academics, shaped by diverse backgrounds and perspectives. I don’t believe there was a specific aspect in which I differed from my peers. I simply pursued what suited me best, and fortunately, it yielded positive outcomes.

What motivated you to pursue a degree in Law?

Since my secondary school days, studying Law had been a lifelong aspiration fueled by my late father’s encouragement, Prince Agbaeze Ejiama. I have a passion for practical disciplines that enable problem-solving and societal impact, making law an ideal fit. My goal is to use my expertise to advocate for underprivileged groups, particularly children and women. If not for Law, I would have considered pursuing medicine as an alternative path had I been a science student.

Did your parents actively shape your academic path?

Absolutely, my parents played a pivotal role in guiding my academic pursuits through unwavering support and love. At times, achieving a first-class honor seemed daunting, notably after receiving subpar results in my second year. However, subsequent improvements reassured me that my goal was still within reach, renewing my determination to succeed.

What was your most daunting campus experience?

My most challenging moment on campus didn’t stem from academic hurdles but rather from my aspiration to lead the Law Students Association. Winning the presidency in my fourth year was a significant achievement, albeit marred by the election’s controversial aftermath. The election process, particularly the extended result delay, posed a formidable test of resolve.

How did you feel upon receiving your final academic results?

The moment I received my final results was a mix of relief, joy, and gratitude. It was a fulfilling and unforgettable experience, overwhelming me with positive emotions. The achievement was a testament to hard work and faith.
