Breaking News: Tragic Shooting Incident in FCT Amid #EndBadGovernance Protest

Reports have emerged of a young boy tragically shot and killed in the Kubwa area of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, allegedly by members of the Nigeria Police Force. The incident occurred on the third day of the ongoing #EndBadGovernance protest.

According to eyewitnesses, the shooting took place near the Zenith Bank premises in Kubwa, where the victim, who was not involved in the protest, was shot at close range.

Speaking on the incident, an eyewitness revealed that the boy was not part of the protesters but was caught in the line of fire when the police aimed their weapons towards the crowd from a different location.

Activist lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, condemned the shooting, labeling it as an unjustified killing. He emphasized that the victim was merely observing the protest when he was fatally shot.

In a statement shared with NewsNow, Adeyanju criticized the actions of the police, calling for accountability and justice in the wake of the tragic event.

Despite attempts to reach out to the FCT Police spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, for confirmation, there has been no response to the inquiries made via SMS.
