The Benin Arsenals were eliminated from the President Federation Cup by the Nigeria National League club Wikki Tourist.
In a surprising turn of events, Bendel Insurance suffered a 2-0 defeat against Bauchi Elephant during the Round 32 match at the Area 3 stadium in Abuja on Wednesday.
Goals from Owolabi Aremu and Promise Damala secured the victory for Wikki Tourist.
Sharing their disappointment, Bendel Insurance posted on their X handle that the “Defending champions gallantly exited the 2024 President Federation Cup.”
They added, “It was not our day at the Area3 in Abuja. Our focus has now shifted to the NPFLMD33 showdown against Sunshine Stars.”
When the NPFL resumes this weekend, Bendel Insurance will face off against Sunshine Stars.
