A bandit, who remains unidentified, has expressed a desire for peace talks with Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State.
In a video posted online on Thursday, the bandit stressed the importance of peace.
Dressed in a Kaftan and armed, the bandit was surrounded by his accomplices while showcasing various weapons.
He also offered an apology for the damage caused to farmlands by Fulani cattle in the state.
He stated: “Currently, we seek peace in Zamfara State. Conflict cannot foster peace in the state; looking at East and West Africa, one can understand that peace is beneficial.”
“If you, as the leader, desire peace in Zamfara, summon the Fulanis for a dialogue, and we will present our requirements and necessities,” he added.
