Following their surrender for interrogation, the Lagos State Police command has released singer Naira Marley, former Lagos state governorship candidate, Babatunde Gbadamosi, and his wife from detention at the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Panti, Yaba on Monday, April 6.
They were brought in for questioning after attending the birthday party of JJC Skillz on Sunday, April 5, in violation of the social distancing order of the Lagos state government.
Their arraignment at the state magistrate court scheduled for April 7 was interrupted due to the lockdown caused by the Coronavirus pandemic in the state.
According to a police source, they have been granted bail and are expected to appear in court today, Wednesday, April 8.
This development comes after Nollywood actress Funke Akindele and her husband JJC Skillz were sentenced to 14 days of community service by a Lagos State Magistrate Court for hosting a house party that violated coronavirus restriction orders.
