Army arrest suspected killer of couple, 11 others in Plateau

The Plateau State chapter of the Nigerian Army’s Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) has apprehended a suspect believed to be responsible for the killing of a couple and 11 other individuals in Kwi Community, Riyom Local Government Area. This information was disclosed by the Acting Deputy Director of Army Public Relations of the 3 Division, Lt.-Col. Ishaku Takwa, during a press conference in Jos.

The arrest of the suspect, identified as Lukman Aminu, took place in Tafawa community of Barkin Ladi on November 18. This development was attributed to the unwavering determination and dedication of the troops. The couple, Rwang Danladi, 37, and Sandra Danladi, 28, who were both teachers at BECO Comprehensive Secondary School, fell victim to the assailants during an attack on the school on August 14.

Takwa pointed out that the perpetrator has since confessed to the crime and is also being investigated for numerous other criminal activities. He further mentioned that the military is actively pursuing the remaining gunmen with the aim of ensuring that they are promptly brought to justice.
