Appeal to State Governors: Uphold Support for Tinubu’s National Security Agenda

Independent Media and Policy Initiative (IMPI) has urged state governments to avoid actions that could undermine President Bola Tinubu’s efforts to secure the nation.

During a press briefing in Abuja, the group’s Chairman, Niyi Akinsiju, emphasized the importance of governors aligning with the President on matters of national security as key Security Officers in their respective states.

Expressing concern over the recent tragic incident in Okuama village, Delta State, while on official duty, Akinsiju commended the successful rescue of 137 abducted school children in Kaduna State.

In urging for further efforts to rescue other abducted school children, the group underscored the need for state governments to support President Tinubu’s security endeavors without contradictions.

Emphasizing the counterproductive nature of diverging from the national security agenda, Akinsiju reiterated the call for governors to maintain harmony with the President’s policies.
