Anambra Police Arrest Herbalist Found with 11 Human Bones

A herbalist named Ezekiel was apprehended by security forces in Anambra State for being in possession of 11 human bones.

The individual, originally from Ezza in Ebonyi State, was taken into custody over the weekend in Neni, Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State.

Following a tip-off about suspicious activities at his residence, security personnel raided the suspect’s home, as seen in a viral video circulating on social media.

The video documents the discovery of various human bones at the suspect’s place during the operation.

While being questioned by the authorities, Ezekiel admitted that the bones were indeed human remains, attributing their presence to a relative from an area of Ebonyi State plagued by ongoing communal conflicts.

He confessed to utilizing the bones in the creation of various ‘high-quality charms’ for clientele and others.

In the video, a member of the security team cautioning the community to exercise prudence when renting out their homes or accommodating individuals, and to be vigilant about their tenants’ activities within their premises.

Praising the informant who provided the crucial details for the suspect’s apprehension, the interrogator urged everyone to prioritize security and report any unusual or suspicious behavior they witness.

Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ikenga Tochukwu, verified the incident mentioned in the video and revealed that the suspect was intercepted by vigilantes and officers from the Neni Division during patrol.

Ikenga stated, “The suspect is currently in custody undergoing interrogation. Further updates on the matter will be provided.”
