Analysis: Bwala’s Take on Atiku and Others Regarding Tinubu’s Ability to Govern

Per former lawmaker, Daniel Bwala, President Bola Tinubu possesses the capacity to govern the nation from any part of the globe.

Bwala contends that Tinubu’s ability to lead prevails regardless of whether Vice President Kashim Shettima is present in Nigeria or abroad.

Recent events have unfolded as Shettima embarked on a visit to the United States for the US-Africa Business Summit, leading to perceived gaps in the nation’s leadership cadre, with Tinubu yet to return to Nigeria after participating in the Special World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting for six days.

Bwala’s statement emerges in the aftermath of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar expressing concern over the simultaneous absence of Tinubu and Shettima from the country.

Atiku highlighted the troubling nature of this situation, particularly given the nation’s ongoing challenges.

In a post on his handle, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate hinted at the notion that the country might be operating on autopilot.

However, Bwala refuted Atiku’s stance, asserting that the Presidential Villa is not akin to a block industry and Tinubu is certainly not a bricklayer.

He remarked, “The President @officialABAT holds the reins of the country and can exercise authority regardless of his presence in Nigeria alongside the Vice President. The Presidential Villa does not operate like a block industry, and the President’s role transcends that of a bricklayer. Refer to Section 5 of the Constitution for clarification.”
