Ademola Lookman up for Europa League Player of the Week


According to reports from NewsNow, Atalanta’s winger, Ademola Lookman, has been nominated for the Europa League Player of the Week award.

Lookman displayed an impressive performance as Atalanta secured a spot in the final of the UEFA Europa League with a 3-0 victory over Olympic Marseille on Thursday night.

In the match, the Nigerian notched a goal and provided an assist.

Securing the lead for La Dea at the half-hour mark, the former Leicester player was assisted by Charles De Ketelaere.

Lookman then turned into a provider, setting up Matteo Ruggeri for Atalanta’s second goal in the 52nd minute.

With 20 goal involvements this season (12 goals and eight assists), the 26-year-old has been a key player for Atalanta.

Lookman will be in contention for the award against AS Roma’s Mile Svilar.

Atalanta is set to battle Bayer Leverkusen in the final showdown in Dublin on Wednesday, May 22.
