Actress Funke Akindele and Husband Plead Guilty to Violating Lockdown Orders

Funke Akindele-Bello and her husband, Abdulrasheed Bello aka JJC Skillz, have admitted to defying the orders of the Lagos state government on public gatherings and social distancing.

The couple appeared before a Chief Magistrate court in Ogba on Monday morning April 6, following their arrest by the Lagos State Government and the state police command for violating the lockdown order aimed at preventing the spread of coronavirus. The charge was filed by the Attorney General of Lagos State, Moyosore Onigbanjo.

 

Funke and JJC were apprehended for hosting a house party in their Amen estate home on Saturday April 4, disregarding the state government’s restrictions on movement and social distancing to curb the spread of Coronavirus in the state.

 

Akindele and her husband pleaded guilty after the charges were read to them. They are currently awaiting the magistrate’s verdict.
