The Transition Committee Chairman of Arochukwu Local Government Area of Abia state, Onyekachi Okoro, tragically passed away after collapsing during a meeting in Umuahia on January 9th. He was swiftly taken to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Umuahia where he was pronounced dead. The cause of his sudden demise is believed to be a cardiac arrest, although the doctors have not yet officially confirmed this. Okoro’s untimely death occurred just a month after he had assumed the role of TC chairman of Arochukwu Local Government, following his appointment in December 2019.
