Gleefully, Abdullahi Biffo expresses his joy in returning to the dugout within the Nigeria Premier Football League.
The announcement of Biffo as the new head coach of Sporting Lagos came on a Friday.
In a recent statement, the former Kwara United coach shared that it was the immense passion displayed by the club that motivated his resurgence in coaching within the NPFL.
Reflecting on his feelings, Biffo stated on the club’s website, “I am immensely proud to take on the role of the head coach at this esteemed club.”
“I have been monitoring Sporting Lagos for some time [watching games at Teslim], and I deeply admire the club’s ethos,” he continued.
“Returning to coaching in Nigeria wasn’t on my radar, but the remarkable passion exhibited by the club’s owner was truly convincing. It is evident that this is a substantial project with grand ambitions, and I am thrilled to contribute to its success.”
“The club boasts exceptional players, some of whom I have previously coached. I eagerly anticipate advancing the mission of transforming this club into one that Lagos can boast of.”

Biffo is set to lead the team in his inaugural game as Sporting Lagos faces off against Katsina United at the Muhammed Dikko Stadium this Sunday.
