A Victory for Naira Marley as Car Theft Charge is Struck Out by Court

The police’s car theft charge against Nigerian rapper Adeyemi Fashola a.k.a Naira Marley, along with his two siblings Idris and Babatunde Fashola, and their cousin Kunle Obere, was struck out by a magistrate court in Lagos on Tuesday, January 14.

During today’s trial, Naira Marley and his co-defendants were accused of stealing a Toyota Camry with Registration No. FEE 120 AA valued at N1.8m and an iPhone X5 worth N330,000.

Despite Naira Marley’s absence at the trial, the court dismissed the car theft charge following the submission of a settlement agreement between the complainant Mr. Adelekan Ademola and the four defendants.

This agreement was reached after Chief Magistrate Tajudeen Elias warned of issuing an arrest order for Naira Marley.
