A Fatal Incident on the Kaduna Highway: Driver Killed, 3 JAMB Candidates Abducted

Confirmation has been received from the Kaduna State Police Command regarding the tragic death of a driver and the abduction of three candidates of the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) examination along the Kaduna-Birnin Gwari highway.
 

Alongside the JAMB candidates, a minor of one and a half-year-old was also taken captive. The three prospective undergraduates, named Yusuf Sani, Ummi Sani, and Umairah Mustapha, were on their way back to Birnin Gwari after completing their examination in Kaduna on Saturday.

 

ASP Mohammed Jalige, the spokesperson for the Kaduna Police, confirmed the incident to Daily Trust, stating, 

 

“Yes, they killed the driver of the vehicle and abducted four persons in the car. Three of the victims were teenagers who went to write JAMB and their baby sister.”

 

The deceased driver, identified as Ibrahim Dawo, was employed by Hassan Adamu Shekarau, a former member of the House of Representatives.
