Anambra CP reaches out to Kogi counterpart regarding abducted commissioner and wife

The Commissioner for Youths Development in Anambra State, Patrick Aghamba, was abducted while traveling to Abuja for the wedding of Adaora, the daughter of Anambra State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo. CP Nnaghe Itam from Anambra State has contacted the Kogi State Commissioner of Police seeking support in securing Aghamba’s release.

Aghamba, along with his wife, was kidnapped, and tragically, his aide was killed by the abductors during the incident.

SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the spokesperson for the Anambra State Police Command, confirmed that the Commissioner of Police, CP Enaghe Obono Itam, is actively engaging with the Kogi State CP to facilitate the release of the abducted couple.

Efforts are being made to gather relevant information and support necessary for the rescue operation.

Despite ongoing efforts, the kidnappers have not yet made contact with Aghamba’s family.

There are conflicting reports about the exact location of the abduction, with some sources stating Kogi State while others claim it occurred in Ubiaja, Edo State.
