Senator Tony Nwoye, who represents Anambra North, has generously built and gifted a two-bedroom bungalow to each of six underprivileged families in the constituency.
In addition, Nwoye has also constructed six classroom blocks and more than 143 lock-up shops in markets situated in Onitsha and Ogbaru Local Government Areas of the state. This initiative aims to enhance educational opportunities for youth, empower local residents, and stimulate commercial activities in the region.
During the handover ceremony of these facilities within the constituency, the Labour Party lawmaker expressed that this act of kindness marked his one year of impactful and purposeful leadership in Anambra North Senatorial district.
He elaborated, “This gesture represents just a fraction of my achievements in the first year of my tenure. It reflects my unwavering commitment to enhance the lives of my constituents in the Anambra North Senatorial District and Anambra State.”
“The numerous infrastructure projects, empowerment programs, and legislative efforts underscore my dedication to the well-being and progress of the people of Anambra North and Anambra State,” he added.
Nwoye detailed, “We have initiated and completed numerous infrastructure projects that have significantly elevated the living standards of the constituents. Key projects include the construction of a community market in Umali Akanator Omo junction in Ayamelum LGA, 100 lock-up shops in Anambra-East LGA, fresh fruit market stalls in Okpoko in Ogbaru LGA, provision of 20 boats for fishing, marine ambulance for emergencies, training for 80 youths in e-marketing, distribution of electronic devices and household appliances.”
The senator has also facilitated the construction of several kilometers of roads, empowered approximately 13,000 individuals through the provision of necessary tools for self-reliance in their respective trades, and supported the enhancement of various road networks in the region.
Nwoye reiterated his commitment to continuously strive for the welfare of his constituents and pledged to achieve even more in the coming years.
He further highlighted his sponsorship of impactful motions and bills addressing crucial issues in his Anambra North Senatorial district, in addition to the establishment of modern youth facilities and community development projects across different LGAs.
