It has been confirmed by the Adamawa State Police Command that three individuals have lost their lives in a clash between two communities.
The clash occurred between the Selti and Kpasham villages within the Numan and Demsa local government areas as reported by the police on Wednesday.
In an official press statement signed by the state Police Public Relations Officer, Suleiman Nguroje, the Commissioner of Police, Adamawa State Command, CP Dankombo Morris, personally led a team of police operatives to the scene to patrol, assess the situation, and swiftly restore order following the communal violence.
The police command stated that an investigation is currently underway to identify and apprehend both the perpetrators and collaborators of the violent act.
The command also emphasized that those responsible for the violence will be prosecuted as they do not tolerate individuals taking the law into their own hands.
