The joint prayer of a group of pastors in the Oval Office with Trump: "Give strength to our president to lead the country"

A group of pastors left a striking image in the Oval Office. Coming from all over the country, the pastors paid a visit to the White House, where Donald Trump welcomed them, gave them access to his renowned ‘office’ and even joined in a joint prayer.

“We are honored to come here today in your presence, greeting our president,” evangelical pastor Greg Laurie, one of the pastors closest to Trump, began the prayer, touching the president on his shoulder, like other pastors present in the Oval Office. Some chose to touch his shoulders and others his arms while the American president closed his eyes and accompanied those present in the prayer.

I pray for Trump and for US troops in “difficult times”

“We pray that your blessing and favor continue upon him. We pray that the wisdom of heaven floods his heart and mind, and Lord, that you guide him in these difficult times we face. We pray for your grace and protection for him. We pray for your grace and protection for our troops and all the men and women who serve in our armed forces. And Father, we only pray that you continue to give our president the strength he needs to lead our great nation. As he returns to one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all, we pray for your heavenly blessing upon him in the name of Jesus,” was the full prayer in the Oval Office.

Pastor Greg Laurie prayed for Trump and for the American troops in what he described as a “difficult” time, in the context of the war against Iran and a turbulent world order since the arrival of the American leader himself to the White House.

Margo Martin, Trump’s special assistant and communications adviser, posted the striking video on social media shortly after, explaining that the president had received pastors from “all over the country.”
