US Claims Late Iranian President Raisi Had Significant Involvement in Rights Abuses
In the wake of the death of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, the United States has asserted that he bore significant responsibility for various rights abuses.
The White House made this assertion in a condolence message issued on Monday following Raisi's demise.
Raisi, alongside other officials, tragically perished in a helicopter crash in East Azerbaijan province.
John Kirby, the spokesman for the US National Security Council, pointed out that Raisi was linked to heinous rights violations within Iran and had also provided support to regional proxies such as Hamas.
In his address to the press, Kirby remarked, "This individual was complicit in a considerable amount of bloodshed."
He added, "Nevertheless, as with any loss of life, we express our condolences in the appropriate mann...
