Significant Losses Inflicted on Terrorists in Two Ambushes against Nigerian Troops, Reports DHQ
In a recent development, the Defense Headquarters has shared that terrorist groups operating in the Northwest region sustained heavy casualties during two ambushes against troops of Operation "Hadarin Daji" in Zamfara.
Maj.-Gen. Edward Buba, the Director of Defence, Media Operations, revealed in a statement in Abuja that on May 12, the troops faced ambushes at Kuran Mota Village and along Road Alikere – Yarmalimai Village, both in Zamfara.
Engaging in fierce combat to navigate the situation, the troops unfortunately lost four soldiers in the first ambush and three others were wounded in action. In the second ambush, five soldiers encountered minor gunshot injuries, and they were promptly evacuated to FOB Faskari for medical attention.
