Tyson Fury sets sights on Usyk rematch in October
In an announcement following his recent defeat, Tyson Fury has revealed his plans for a rematch with Oleksandr Usyk in October of this year.
Fury expressed his desire for a second bout with Usyk after a closely contested split decision loss in Saudi Arabia over the weekend.
According to reports from NewsNow, the fight on Saturday had a rematch clause in the agreement, paving the way for a potential rematch in the near future.
Fury confirmed his intent to trigger this clause, stating, “We’ve got a rematch clause. I have had a split decision loss to a good little man. We run it back in October. Well done Oleksandr.”
The British boxer further added, “We go back to our families and we run it back in October. I’m not going to sit here and cry and make excuses.”
