Ex-Director in Abia surrenders government car to Panel of Inquiry
A Toyota Corolla car has been recovered by the Abia State Judicial Panel of Inquiry on the restoration of government property and funds from the former Director of Administration at the Abia State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (ASOPADEC), Maxwell Enyite.
Enyite claimed that the car was given to him by the Commission to facilitate his transportation between Umuahia and Aba.
However, Justice Florence Duruoha-Igwe, the Panel's Chairperson, indicated during a session in Umuahia that there was insufficient evidence to confirm that the vehicle was legitimately bestowed upon Enyite by ASOPADEC.
