In response to the passing of the previous emir of Tikau, Yobe State's Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has given his approval for the installation of Alhaji Abubakar Muhammadu Ibn Grema as the new emir of Tikau Emirate Council. An announcement was issued on Tuesday by the Secretary to the State Government, Baba Malam Wali, revealing that the selection of the new emir was made based on the unified suggestions of the Tikau Emirate Council's kingmakers.
