Protest at Osun Poly as Students React to EFCC Arrest, Damage Vehicles
Anger erupted among students at the Federal Polytechnic in Ede, Osun State following the arrest of some of their peers by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
Reports gathered by NewsNow indicate that the students launched an attack on certain buildings within the polytechnic campus, resulting in vandalism of staff members' vehicles.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident took place late on Thursday night.
Earlier, it was reported that EFCC operatives from the Ibadan Zonal office had conducted a surprise raid on hostels located around the Owode-Ede area.
During the operation, a number of students were apprehended and subsequently taken to the Ibadan zonal office of the anti-corruption agency.
