Recent Suspension of a Doctor in Kano for Negligence
Dr Mansur Nagoda, the Executive Secretary of the Kano State Hospitals Management Board, has taken immediate action by suspending a medical officer at the Muhammad Abdullahi Wase Teaching Hospital due to multiple complaints of negligence.
It was alleged by Dr Nagoda that the suspended doctor left the facility without informing any officer or the hospital management.
Despite numerous attempts to reach the suspended medic via phone calls, she claimed to be on the premises but was not found in the doctors' quarters, leaving a dialysis patient in a state of distress throughout the night.
In emphasizing the paramount importance of the oath doctors take to safeguard lives, the Executive Secretary urged all medical practitioners to be diligent in fulfilling their responsibilities.
