Governor Radda: Banditry Decreased by 70% in Katsina
Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State has reported a significant 70% reduction in banditry over the past year. This achievement, as Radda explains, is a result of the strong collaboration between local security forces and conventional security agencies throughout the state.
In an interview with journalists during his working visit to Yola, Radda disclosed the progress made and emphasized the need for state police to be involved in combating insecurity nationally.
Radda expressed, "We have successfully cut banditry by 60 to 70%. The recent tactics of the bandits involve targeting remote villages near forests, causing destruction and loss of lives. Nevertheless, we have devised effective strategies to address this issue."
