Golden Eaglets emerge victorious against Niger in WAFU U-17 tournament
In their first win at the WAFU B U-17 Championship in Ghana, the Golden Eaglets of Nigeria managed to secure a narrow 1-0 victory over the Niger Republic at the University Stadium in Accra.
The deadlock was broken by Rapha Adams with a goal in the 31st minute of the game.
Despite being reduced to 10 men following Chibuike Okorie's sending off just three minutes after the hour mark, Manu Garba's team held on for the crucial win.
With this victory, the Golden Eaglets climbed to the second spot on the Group B standings, collecting four points from their first two matches.
