The recent developments in the Rivers State administration have seen two key commissioners stepping down from Governor Siminalayi Fubara's cabinet.
Commissioner Gift Worlu, responsible for Housing, has officially resigned, joining Professor Prince Chinedu Mmom, the Commissioner for Education, in leaving their positions.
Worlu, in a letter submitted to Governor Fubara via the State Government Secretary, Tammy Danagogo, mentioned a "toxic" workplace environment and the alleged move to merge the executive and legislative branches as factors influencing his decision to resign.
