46 suspects arrested at nightclubs in Gombe, NSCDC reports

A total of 46 individuals, consisting of 14 males and 32 females, have been apprehended by the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Gombe State. The arrests took place at local nightclubs commonly known as Gidan Gala.

The State Public Relations Officer, Mu’azu Sa’ad, stated that the apprehensions were in compliance with Governor Muhammadu Yahaya’s order for the closure of all local nightclubs. Sa’ad added, “The suspects were found engaging in immoral and criminal activities at these Gidan Gala venues.”

The NSCDC command has made contact with some of the suspects’ parents and will be taking them to court. The arrests were carried out around 9pm, following a directive issued at 4pm on Monday.

The suspects were detained at various locations, including Sabon Gida BCGA, Jamiyar Gadan Gala at New Mile 6, Gidan Wasa/Gidan Drama at New Mile 3, and Liji along Kalshingi Road.
