The residents of Warri, Delta State, mercilessly beat a young girl whom they caught allegedly stealing a generator. The incident occurred at Lori-Igba street, off Deco Road on July 3. The suspect’s accomplice managed to escape, leaving her at the mercy of the angry residents. According to reports, the girls had told a tricycle driver that they wanted to take their generator to Iyara, but they actually entered a compound to steal the generator. One of the girls was caught by the tricycle driver, leading to the residents’ violent reaction.
