Real Madrid president, Florentino Perez has told the club’s new signing Kylian Mbappe that he would never forget the day former manager Zinedine Zidane invited him to Valdebebas in 2012.
Perez spoke on Tuesday while giving a speech at Mbappé’s presentation ceremony at the Bernabéu Stadium.
He also thanked Mbappe for deciding to join Real Madrid following the expiration of his contract with Paris Saint-Germain.
“I know you will never forget that day in 2012 when Zidane invited you to Valdebebas,” Perez said.
“I want you to know that this love you have for Real Madrid gave you the strength to overcome all the obstacles.
“Today you are here because you wanted this.
“You will now wear the white shirt, the shirt of the 15 Champions League.”
