Rudeboy, also known as Paul Okoye of Psquare, has entered the fray between Eedris Abdulkareem and Burna Boy. He accused Eedris of delighting in insulting his colleagues, emphasizing that Eedris had insulted Psquare, 2Face, Timaya, D’banj, and now Burna Boy. Rudeboy alleged that Eedris betrayed his colleagues by accepting a small fee for a 50 Cent show 20 years ago, after they had already agreed on lucrative performance fees. He claimed that he had kept silent for too long about the incident but decided to speak up due to Eedris’ entitled mentality.
In a recent Instagram story post, Rudeboy wrote in Pidgin, “Every market day we hear ‘I fought for the industry. I cooked the food you eat.’ I just laugh. Now you want to reply with music but you will reply till you’re tired. For over 20 years, I have kept silent about what really happened, how we top Nigerian artists agreed on payment conditions and treatment for the same 50 Cent show, only for this greedy guy to go behind and collect peanuts. You expect VIP treatment for a peanut payment? You keep insulting every artist, if it’s not Tuface, it’s Psquare, Timaya, D’banj, now it’s Burna… you’ll have to explain a lot!”
