Efforts to ease the hardship faced by the victims of the End SARS protest saw the Yobe State Government presenting over sixteen million Naira as relief to members of the National Association of Transport Owners (NATO) Yobe State chapter.

During the presentation of the cash relief, Mairo Ahmed Amshi, the State Commissioner of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, highlighted the government’s firm commitment, under the leadership of Governor Mai Mala Buni, in assisting victims of disasters in the state.

Amshi further emphasized that the EndSARS protest incident has had a significant impact on many individuals within and outside the country, necessitating interventions from both government and non-governmental organizations.

Recognizing the vital role NARTO plays in the state’s economy and the nation’s transport sector, Amshi urged the beneficiaries to use the cash donation to revive their means of livelihood.

Mohammed Umar, the State Chairman of the National Association of Transport Owners (NATO) Yobe State chapter, expressed appreciation to Governor Buni for the cash assistance to the victims of the EndSARS protest, which predominantly affected their members, along with numerous other interventions to the association.
