Wrexham’s Focus on Retaining Arthur Okonkwo, Confirms Manager Phil Parkinson

Manager of Wrexham, Phil Parkinson, has expressed the club’s determination to retain Arthur Okonkwo.

Okonkwo, who was on loan from Arsenal last season, played a crucial role in Wrexham’s promotion to League One.

Holding Nigerian nationality, Okonkwo’s contract with Arsenal will be ending in June.

Despite interest from various Premier League and Sky Bet Championship clubs, Parkinson remains optimistic about securing Okonkwo’s stay at Wrexham.

Speaking to BBC Sport Wales, Parkinson said, “Securing Arthur’s stay may not be immediate, but we are committed to making it happen.”

The 22-year-old goalkeeper featured in 40 games for Wrexham across all competitions during the 2023/24 season.
