WPG Terminates Tinuade Sanda’s Contract at Eko Disco

Following recent developments, West Power & Gas Limited (WPG), the primary shareholder of Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC), has officially ended the appointment of Tinuade Sanda, the former managing director of the Disco.

In a communication signed by Charles Momoh, the chairman of WPG, it was conveyed that as of April 17, 2024, Sanda was no longer affiliated with the company.

The letter referenced Sanda’s employment contract dated April 1, 2022, with WPG Limited, informing her that per clause 10.2 of the contract, her services were no longer required. WPG extended payment equivalent to three months’ salary in lieu of notice, confirming that the due amounts had already been transferred to her account. Sanda was instructed to return all company assets, be it belonging to WPG or EKEDP, including laptops, identity cards, and company vehicles, upon receipt of the letter.

This development unfolded in the midst of the controversy surrounding Sanda’s exit from EKEDC. Sanda, who had initially been assigned to the Disco, was reposted to WPG after her removal as the MD of EKEDC. Rekhiat Momoh was appointed as Sanda’s successor.
