Wike: Government Ready to Bring About Change

Repeatedly, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has urged the residents of Abuja to remain composed and exhibit patience with the Tinubu administration.

Wike made these remarks on Monday during an inspection visit to the construction site of the nine-kilometre Paikon Kore-Ibwa rural road in Gwagwalada Area Council.

During the visit, the minister expressed contentment with both the speed and quality of work at the project site.

He emphasized that this project was among the roads designated by the president for completion in the satellite towns, highlighting that the contractor has committed to finishing the road and handing it over by December of this year.

With optimism, he remarked, “I am delighted and the contractor has assured us that by December, they would have completed and handed over the project. This road spans for nine kilometers.”

He further added, “It’s noteworthy because this is among the roads in the satellite towns that Mr. President mandated to be finalized.”

Wike also pointed out that upon completion, the road project will enhance access to farmlands and markets in rural regions, potentially addressing the food security challenges in the country.

He advised the communities nearby to exercise patience.

He stated, “I will continually encourage them to remain calm, to be patient. This government is fully equipped to bring about positive changes,” he assured.
