Meet the parents of Kasean Pryor, Sean Pryor, and Trisha Segura. Sean, who used to play basketball, is currently divorced from Trisha. He played at Oregon State and now his son, Kasean, follows in his footsteps as a forward for South Florida, having previously played for Boise State and Northwest Florida State. In a remarkable performance, Kasean scored 21 points and ten rebounds, helping his team come back from a 20-point deficit to defeat No. 10 Memphis, 74-73. Meanwhile, his father, Sean, scored 29 points against Rice last week, contributing to a comeback win.
Trisha Segura, Sean’s former wife and Kasean’s mother, has confirmed their separation on Facebook. She frequently posts about her son’s achievements, with recent mention of Kasean making the AAC Weekly Honor Roll. Sean, on the other hand, had a successful basketball career at Oregon State before playing in France and Puerto Rico. Afterward, he transitioned into the business sector at Encore Nationwide, later joining the sporting sector. He then ventured into coaching at Minerals Area College and served as an assistant men’s basketball coach at Chicago State University and New Mexico Highlands University.
Later, Sean became the athletic academic advisor at Eastern Michigan University before moving to Grand Canyon University, where he currently works as the academic coordinator for beach volleyball, men’s golf, and women’s golf programs.
Kasean, a Chicago native, attended Ann Arbor Pioneer High School and achieved various accolades in basketball. After playing two seasons at Boise State and one season at Northwest Florida State, he confirmed his commitment to the University of South Florida in May 2023, choosing them over NC State, St John’s, and New Mexico.
