In recent times, we have seen brethren being mobilized as agents of revival in different nations, facilitated by our platform. God has proven faithful in assembling individuals as arrows in His quiver for the purpose of revival in various nations. Our objectives, such as evangelism, missions, purpose discovery, mentorship, innovative research, and professional training, have equipped many of our members to embark on significant journeys within the nations that God has destined for them. This platform has served as a crucible for nurturing talents, preparing them for impactful service globally. New Life Research Foundation, though established for those who have embraced a ‘New Life’ in Christ through repentance, also extends a welcome to those who have yet to undergo this transformation. Founded in 2013, New Life Research Foundation is a vision that was submitted to Pastor Dr. Ezekiel Hanior. In 2013, Pastor Hanior prophesied that this vision would transcend denominational boundaries and have a global impact beyond the confines of a traditional church setting. He offered prayers for its manifestation in due time. During the prolonged 6-month Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) strike in Nigeria, the Visionary, Joseph Luper Tsenum, spent those six months seeking the Lord to discover his life’s purpose. It was during this period that he gained insight from a book by Bro. Gbile Akanni titled ‘The Journey into Your Vision’. This insight led to the subsequent vision to establish New Life Research with the goal of mobilizing God’s children across nations for revival through academics, research, and scholarships. It is worth noting that the name New Life Research was also received in 2013. New Life Research Foundation is intended for those who have found this new life in Christ and for those who will come to know this new life in Christ, whom the Lord will use in various nations for revival through academics and research. Jer. 1:1-19, 51:20-24 serves as the anchor scripture for New Life Research Foundation, as the Lord promised to use whoever He chooses to bring about revival in the nations.
On October 23, 2017, the Lord spoke again to our brother about the need to start taking the ‘initiation step’ into the nations. He created a Facebook page on that day and gathered a few brethren with whom they prayed and began the work. While some initially believed in the Vision, others were doubtful from the start (perhaps because it was still a small seed and he had not yet ventured into the nations he spoke about). In the same year, a few members he worked with received scholarships and traveled to Europe while he remained in Nigeria.
After applying for a scholarship in Europe in 2018 and securing it in 2019, he pursued his Master’s program in Russia. By then, more people started believing in the Vision (the small seed, NELIREF). New Life Research Foundation was formally launched on November 22, 2019.
The small seed, ‘NELIREF,’ was registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in Nigeria as a Christian Academic/Research nonprofit organization on March 2, 2022, with Registration Number 1900538, and in Georgia with the Georgia Secretary of States, United States, on May 17, 2023, with Control Number 23112417.
New Life Research Foundation now boasts over 20,000 followers on various social media platforms. During this period, hundreds of NELIREF members obtained scholarships in different nations. The foundation has conducted programs such as Pioneer Research Cohort, Training sessions, Annual Conferences, Scholarship Webinars, Social Media Evangelism, Follow-up & Discipleship, Mission Challenges & Scholars’ Interactions, Accelerated Mentorship Program for First-Class and Distinction Undergraduate and Graduate Applicants, and NELIREF Connect across different parts of the world. Collaborating with partners such as The UPCI Multicultural RAIN Ministry, Adullam Calvary Mission, Makurdi Christian Youth Summit, Ngunan Addingi Mentorship Program, International Connection Fellowship of The Moscow Good News Church, and other research labs in North America, NELIREF is dedicated to guiding and mentoring its members to become sharp arrows in God’s quiver within the nations.
Truly, the Lord can use anything, and the small seed NELIREF is set to become a large umbrella where both believers in Jesus and non-believers can come to partake of the living water and discover their life’s purpose.
