We won’t condone peace-disrupting activities – Police warn Ondo residents

The warning from the police in Ondo State on Tuesday addressed the issue of some political elements planning to disrupt peace by mobilising youths for their own interests in the state. SP. Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the Ondo State Command, revealed this information in a statement released in Akure.

According to Odunlami-Omisanya, the Police in Ondo State have received reports that some individuals are intending to cause chaos in the state. She stated that intelligence reports indicated that these political elements are determined to disrupt the peace of the state through organized efforts and by mobilizing unsuspecting youths. It was revealed that the sponsors aim to cause chaos with the intention of tarnishing the state’s image for their own selfish gain.

The State Police Command has warned these elements within the state to change their course of action or be ready to face the consequences of the law. Meanwhile, the law-abiding citizens have been assured of their safety as the yuletide season approaches. (NAN)
