Warning from Ministry of Police Affairs: Avoid Engaging in Actions that Harm Nigeria

Mr. James Sule, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Police Affairs, has urged Nigerian youths and Ministry staff to refrain from participating in activities that could harm the country.

Addressing the gathering at a handover ceremony in Abuja, Sule emphasized that the government is committed to reviving the economy amidst challenges posed by the global impacts of COVID-19, the Russia-Ukraine conflict, and internal insecurity.

He encouraged the staff to work collaboratively and remain cautious of negative influences in society that undermine peace-building efforts.

According to Sule, “While acknowledging existing economic challenges globally, it is important that we do not contribute to the destruction of our nation.

“Although there may be shortcomings, we are progressively working towards repositioning the country.”

Sule highlighted the Ministry’s mandate to enhance the morale, public relations, safety, and security of the Nigerian Police Force.

“Our role is vital in improving the efficiency of police service delivery in Nigeria,” he emphasized.

“I pledge my commitment to this cause and encourage each one of us to demonstrate leadership qualities. Leadership is pivotal in driving change.

“Create an open environment, listen to your colleagues, and provide support where needed. Together, we can elevate the service standards of the Nigeria Police to align with global benchmarks.

Dr. Nasir Sani Gwarzo, the outgoing Permanent Secretary, expressed optimism that a reformed police force will contribute to a better Nigeria.

“The transformative potential of the police in shaping our nation is profound. Your individual accomplishments, no matter how small, ripple into substantial national benefits,” Gwarzo affirmed.
