Warm Messages from Akpabio, Barau, and Others to Muslims on Sallah

Sending their well wishes to the Muslim community on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration are notable figures such as Senate President Senator Godswill Akpabio, Deputy President of the Senate Jibrin Barau, and Olamilekan Adeola.

In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Eseme Eyiboh, on Saturday, the Senate President reflected on the importance of Eid-el-Kabir as a time for both sacrifice and joy.

He stressed the significance of making sacrifices for a better future amidst the challenges brought about by current economic reforms.

“I extend heartfelt congratulations on behalf of my family, the people of Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District, the Senate, and the 10th National Assembly to our Muslim brothers and sisters on this auspicious occasion of Eid-el-Kabir. May Allah bless you with joy and peace during this celebration,” Akpabio conveyed.

Akpabio assured Nigerians that the ongoing reforms under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership aim to rectify past errors for the nation’s overall enhancement.

He also expressed empathy for those enduring hardships, calling for patience and resilience as the government strives for a brighter future.

He affirmed that the 10th National Assembly, under his stewardship, stands ready to cooperate with the President in providing essential legislative backing for national development.

Akpabio also congratulated President Tinubu on marking his second Eid-el-Kabir in office, offering prayers for divine guidance and strength to fulfill his commitments.

“I wish Muslims and all Nigerians a memorable Eid-el-Kabir. This period reminds us to place our trust in Allah’s mercy and wisdom,” Barau remarked, advocating for peace, tolerance, justice, and philanthropy.

He reaffirmed the National Assembly’s commitment to formulating legislation that addresses national issues in alignment with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
