In preparation for Euro 2024, Netherlands’ skipper, Virgil van Dijk, has highlighted three top contenders likely to clinch the tournament’s trophy.
The teams he singled out as strong contenders are England, Germany, and France.
Van Dijk shared his thoughts ahead of the Dutch team’s opening match against Poland in Hamburg this Sunday.
The Oranje find themselves grouped with Poland, Austria, and France in the upcoming fixtures.
Expressing his views, Van Dijk stated, “Are we considered favorites? England has great potential, along with Germany and France.”
“However, various other factors will have a role to play. We aim to compete at that level too,” he added.
