The Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, conducted a cabinet meeting using video conferencing on Sunday.
In the viral images, Sheikh Mohammed can be seen leading the meeting with several ministers appearing on a large screen as they discussed preventive measures against the deadly coronavirus.
Sheikh Mohammed also engaged with young students on the first day of the spring semester at Al Majid Model School in Sharjah, where more than 1.2 million students have resumed remote learning.
According to Khaleej Times, the UAE has implemented various measures to control the disease, including sanitation of roads, virtual learning in schools, remote work for government departments, and closure of cinemas and other gathering places.
On Saturday, the UAE reported 153 confirmed cases of coronavirus, with 38 individuals having fully recovered.
