Violent attack on peaceful female protesters in Delta State

During the second day of the ongoing #Endbadgovernanceprotests#, a group of hoodlums violently assaulted and drove away women who were peacefully protesting at a private venue located at Enerhen Junction in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State.

Armed with sticks, daggers, cutlasses, knives, stones, and other dangerous weapons, the hoodlums attacked the women, causing fear and chaos.

The protesting women were demonstrating against poor governance in Nigeria, demanding government intervention to provide food for the citizens and alleviate the prevailing sense of hopelessness. The sudden attack by the hoodlums disrupted their peaceful protest.

The situation was finally brought under control with the intervention of the Police stationed at Enerhen Junction, who managed to rescue the women from further harm inflicted by the hoodlums.

As of now, no suspects have been apprehended in connection with the violent assault on the women during the protest.
