Videos from the streets of Tehran after the joint attack by the United States and Israel against Iran

The United States and Israel have attacked Iran in an unprecedented joint operation. After the ultimatum issued by Donald Trump on February 19, in which he gave a period of 10 days to reach a nuclear agreement, the decision has been to take action. In recent weeks, the US had sent the largest military deployment to Iran since the attack on Iraq.

Israel’s Defense Minister, Israel Katz, who has called the operation “The Roaring Lion”, has reported that it is a “pre-emptive strike”, while Trump has gone further and described it as a “massive operation” with the aim of “annihilating” and “destroying” the ayatollahs’ regime. An offensive called, for its part, “Epic Fury.”

Early this morning, the United States and Israel jointly attacked several cities in Iran, including its capital, Tehran. Quickly, as can be seen in videos broadcast by Reuters, columns of smoke have begun to appear in different parts of the city, as well as alarms.

Between 24 and 40 dead in an attack on a school

However, it is difficult to access images, videos and live information because the Iranian Government has cut off internet and telephone service throughout the country. Currently, according to the organization Netblocks, which monitors network traffic, “Iran is in the middle of an almost total internet blackout with connectivity at 4% of normal levels.”

It is not the first time that the Government of Iran has made this decision. In January he did the same during the protests that led to the massacre of January 8 and 9, when thousands of people died. At that time, the country was without connection for two weeks. The same thing also happened in the 12-day war of June 2025, because according to the Iranian Government, internet systems helped the geolocation of drones and Israeli communications with agents of the country.

Furthermore, the first death toll from this offensive is now known. At least between 24 and 40 people have died, several of them girls, in a missile attack against a school in the south of the country, as reported by Onda Cero correspondent Marta Maroto. It should be noted that today, Saturday, is the beginning of the week in Iran.

Iran’s response against Israel and US military bases

Iran, for its part, has responded to these attacks with missile and drone bombings against Israel and six United States military bases in the Middle East, in an operation that the Revolutionary Guard has dubbed ‘Operation True Promise 4’.

“Revolutionary Guard missiles and drones severely attacked the headquarters of the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet in Bahrain and other US bases in Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, as well as military and security centers in the heart of the occupied territories,” they indicated.

The Bahrain nuclear power plant, one of the most important in the United States, is one of the most important. A Control center of the Fifth Fleet has also been the target of attacks, as reported by the Government of Bahrain. “We urge the public to follow the instructions issued by official authorities and obtain information from official sources,” he added.

The alarms do not stop ringing in these countries, while in Lebanon, as correspondent Marta Maroto has explained, they have also heard explosions and bombings from Israel, in the middle of the truce. Although from the country, for the moment they have not spoken.
