It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of veteran Nollywood actress, Stella Ikwuegbu.
The heartbreaking news was shared by film producer, Stanley Nwoko, known as Stanley Ontop, on Sunday through his Instagram account.
Nwoko disclosed that Stella, who had been battling with leg cancer, succumbed to the illness on Sunday, June 16th.
In his statement, he expressed, “Renowned Nollywood actress and veteran Mrs. Stella Ikwuegbu has passed away.
“The esteemed actress departed this world today after a courageous battle with leg cancer.
“May you rest in peace, madam Stella.”
Another fellow artist, Ijele Ozioma Christy Ejiofor, lamented, “Ukwu Gi Dia. Why? You conquered numerous challenges. Eniure/Achiere arrived, and within a week, claimed your life. Oh my… I am deeply saddened.
“Stella Ikwuegbu, also known as Jennifer, you didn’t get to experience joy. Why? Why did this happen?”
