Johns Hopkins’ ongoing tally places the total number of COVID-19 cases in the U.S. at over 366,000, with more than 30,000 new cases emerging within a day. The U.S. currently has the highest number of confirmed coronavirus cases globally. The daily death toll has been consistently surpassing 1,000 and is steadily approaching the figures in Italy (16,523) and Spain (13,005).
