USA records 1,150 COVID-19 deaths in 24 hours – Johns Hopkins

The United States has reported 1,150 coronavirus deaths within a 24-hour period, as per Johns Hopkins University on Monday, April 6. This has led to the country’s total fatalities exceeding 10,000. Johns Hopkins’ ongoing tally places the total number of COVID-19 cases in the U.S. at over 366,000, with more than 30,000 new cases emerging within a day. The U.S. currently has the highest number of confirmed coronavirus cases globally. The daily death toll has been consistently surpassing 1,000 and is steadily approaching the figures in Italy (16,523) and Spain (13,005).
