It has come to the attention of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, that soldiers are currently surrounding the location where a meeting with the federal government regarding minimum wage negotiations is taking place.
Sharing this information, NLC posted on X stating that, “Soldiers are presently surrounding the venue of the meeting between Labour and Government at the premises of the SGF.”
In a recent statement on their official X account, NLC had cautioned against any actions that could be seen as attempts to intimidate, provoke, or blackmail their leaders during the negotiations, as it would only exacerbate the situation.
The union has emphasized that such a situation could potentially lead to an indefinite extension of their ongoing strike.
