A fresh update on Chelsea’s potential move for Napoli’s Victor Osimhen has been shared by football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Romano recently addressed rumors suggesting that Chelsea had ended their interest in signing the Nigerian forward during this summer’s transfer window.
Victor Osimhen is eager to depart Napoli prior to the transfer window shutting.
The ex-Lille striker has been a subject of interest from Chelsea, Arsenal, and Paris Saint-Germain.
In a tweet posted on Tuesday evening, Romano clarified: “Chelsea has consistently remained in the race for Victor Osimhen, despite speculation indicating otherwise this month.
He further added, “The interest persists, and Osimhen is adamant about only leaving on a permanent transfer without any salary reduction. There have been no changes in the situation so far.”
